APRS Data

Coverage area of the K9KMS-10 digipeater (APRS Direct)
The following represents station and packet transmissions sent and heard directly by the K9KMS-10 station via RF. Repeated and internet transmissions are excluded in order to determine the efficacy of this Alinco DR-135T/Argent T3-135 Digipeater IGate station. The interactive graphs and images are updated frequently with data provided by APRS.fi.

The distance from which stations are heard is sometimes significantly greater than normal due to the effects of Tropospheric Ducting and Sporadic E propagation occurring over and around the Lake Michigan area. Stations sometimes report from as far as Marquette in Upper Michigan, Detroit, and Chicago. Learn more and see the forecasts at Tropospheric Ducting Forecast, Hepburn Tropo Index.
